This savings calculator can estimate your savings for becoming a CLEC using the methods we suggest and implement for you.
We request the number of PRIs you have to handle dial-up Internet service and the Average monthly price. The calculator is based upon new costs of $70/PRI.
We also request the number of point to point T1s loops with customers you have. The calculation is an estimate 70% savings from T1s purchased through incumbant phone carriers (ILECS) and 50% savings from T1s purchased through other CLECs.
An additional savings estimated at 20% of the total is assumed due to reductions or eliminations of T1 and T3 loops and the possibly elimination of remote Points of Presence.
